North Richland Hills is home to more than 70,000 residents across roughly 27,000 households in the 76180 and 76182 ZIP codes. It’s a close-knit yet fast-moving suburban community where families, professionals, and teens are all working to find balance in the middle of full schedules and constant demands. In a city where commutes, family life, and career goals all overlap, it’s easy to feel stretched thin, managing day to day but still sensing something deeper needs attention.
At The King’s Forge Counseling, we understand that rhythm because we live and work here too. Whether you’re a parent in the Birdville or Keller ISD community, a professional commuting across Northeast Tarrant County, or a young adult trying to find your footing, you’ll meet therapists who understand the unique pressures of life in North Richland Hills. Choosing The King’s Forge means choosing care that fits your community, your schedule, and your story. You won’t just find therapy; you’ll find a team rooted in this area and committed to helping you find clarity, connection, and direction right where you live.

Meet our Therapists

Jeff King, MA, LPC
Owner and Therapist
EMDR Trained
DBT Trained
Even before my introductory course in psychology, I had been fascinated by the idea of helping others work through their issues in this life. As an undergraduate at the University of North Texas, I took course after course in psychology working toward my degree. I was accepted into a graduate studies lab as an assistant in which we conducted research, but I always felt there was something missing. I have watched friends struggle with addiction, depression, and disorder in their lives to no avail as they relied solely on the “wisdom” of this world to guide them through their challenges. I decided to further my education and attended and graduated with my Master's Degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Since then I have had the privilege of counseling teens, adults, families, and couples in residential treatment, private practice, and acute care settings in Fort Worth and North Richland Hills. It has been an honor to walk through life with people and help them remember or create their goals, transform their current situation, and walk through life's fires together to find purpose. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let us help you find the purpose in the fire.

Amberlin Salas, MA, LPC
Therapist
SYMBIS
CBT Trained
Amberlin has been passionate about helping people by working in church ministry in various forms for over 10 years as pastoral staff and support staff. She holds a B.A. in English, is a published author and writes for various religious publications. Over time, wanting to walk alongside individuals in new ways, she obtained her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is currently continuing her education by acquiring a Ph.D. in Psychology from Liberty University.
She has experience working with families, couples and individuals in private practice in addition to having experience in residential treatment for adolescents with substance abuse and mental health diagnoses. She believes that there is immense healing found in counseling as it provides a safe place for individuals to explore their unique journeys and reach their full potential.

Daneshia Moten, MA, LMFT-A
Therapist
Under the supervision of Rachel Pendergraft, LMFT-S
Daneshia has committed the last nine years to the mental health field. She holds B.A. degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The sudden, unexpected passing of her husband set her on a personal healing journey through counseling. After five challenging years as a social worker with DFPS, she recognized the strong urge to help others heal by addressing complex trauma experienced by children, adolescents, and adults, and to disrupt dysfunctional family cycles. This insight prompted her to pursue an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University.
In addition to her social service experience helping children and families navigate crises and trauma, she also has a background in residential treatment for adolescents dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges, along with experience in Christian counseling. Daneshia appreciates getting to know her clients' narratives and what they aspire to achieve. She is committed to helping clients—whether individuals, couples, or families in their pursuit of positive change, personal growth, emotional wellness, and the development of healthier relationships through fulfilling connections.
