Jeff King counselor north richland hills

Jeff King, MA, LPC
Owner and Therapist
EMDR Trained
DBT Trained

Even before my introductory course in psychology, I had been fascinated by the idea of helping others work through their issues in this life. As an undergraduate at the University of North Texas, I took course after course in psychology working toward my degree. I was accepted into a graduate studies lab as an assistant in which we conducted research, but I always felt there was something missing. I have watched friends struggle with addiction, depression, and disorder in their lives to no avail as they relied solely on the “wisdom” of this world to guide them through their challenges. I decided to further my education and attended and graduated with my Master's Degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Since then I have had the privilege of counseling teens, adults, families, and couples in residential treatment, private practice, and acute care settings in Fort Worth and North Richland Hills. It has been an honor to walk through life with people and help them remember or create their goals, transform their current situation, and walk through life's fires together to find purpose. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let us help you find the purpose in the fire. Outside of counseling I enjoy writing our blog

In working with Alex, clients experience first-hand that he truly cares and that he will walk alongside them while sharing in their struggles and successes.

Daneshia Moten, MA, LMFT-A

Under the supervision of Rachel Pendergraft, LMFT-S

Therapist

Daneshia has committed the last nine years to the mental health field. She holds B.A. degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The sudden, unexpected passing of her husband set her on a personal healing journey through counseling. After five challenging years as a social worker with DFPS, she recognized the strong urge to help others heal by addressing complex trauma experienced by children, adolescents, and adults, and to disrupt dysfunctional family cycles. This insight prompted her to pursue an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University.

In addition to her social service experience helping children and families navigate crises and trauma, she also has a background in residential treatment for adolescents dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges, along with experience in Christian counseling. Daneshia appreciates getting to know her clients' narratives and what they aspire to achieve. She is committed to helping clients—whether individuals, couples, or families in their pursuit of positive change, personal growth, emotional wellness, and the development of healthier relationships through fulfilling connections.
